This Sunday, August 26th is Dog Appreciation Day, so we compiled a list of our favorite dog-friendly spots for you and your furry friend to celebrate!
Warning: these hangouts are likely to have your pup wagging its tail ferociously.
McLean Park
Looking for a casual stroll? McLean Park offers a paved walking path that you and your pal can travel along. Don’t worry, if either of you get tired of walking, there’s a gazebo overlooking the lake that you guys can rest at. Just don’t take your dog off the leash while at the park; they have to be leashed at all times.
Barefoot Landing
You and your pup can take on a full day of fun at Barefoot Landing. Walk along the dock or boardwalk and let your pup feel the ocean breeze. Both of you will for sure have worked up an appetite so enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many dog-friendly restaurants and swing by Bone Appétit Pet Bakery for a tasty treat after dinner.
Myrtle Beach State Park
If you and your furry friend are early risers and up-all-nighters, you two can enjoy a nice walk on this beach as long as your dog is leashed! Myrtle Beach State Park also offers trails if you want a break from the sand.
Barc Parc
Ah, freedom! Let your pup run free at Barc Parc where there’s a fenced in area for small dogs and another for large dogs along with plenty of fountains and shade for when your pup needs to cool down.
Waggin’ Tails Dog Park
This dog park is sure to get that tail waggin’! Waggin’ Tails Dog Park is another fenced-in park where dogs are able to run with the wind! Located just outside Myrtle Beach, this park is a must visit for any dog lover and their pet.
