Featured Image: Trover

For those that live in Myrtle Beach, it can be easy to get caught in the routine of day-to-day life and forget all of the exciting things this city has to offer. It’s time to take a day to be a tourist in your city and here’s your guide to experience the Grand Strand in a whole new light!

The Beach

The same old beach that you’ve been going to for years has probably left you frustrated when trying to find a place to lay your towel among a sea of tourists. Well, switch it up! Myrtle Beach has over 60 miles of beautiful beaches to offer. Become a tourist and visit a new beach to lay, play and soak up the rays at.

The Boardwalk

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk may always be filled with tourists, but that’s because of all of the incredible things to do here. This next stop for being a tourist in your city includes delicious restaurants, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium, arcades, thrill rides and, most importantly, the Skywheel. Take a ride on this massive Ferris wheel to see Myrtle Beach from a bird’s eye view!

Boat Tours

Myrtle Beach has boat tours galore for you to hit the sea in plenty of different ways. You can start by sitting back and relaxing on one of Capt’n Rod’s Lowcountry Tours to visit an untouched barrier island and soak in the beauty of the South Carolina coast. If you need some more action, there are plenty of watersport companies in Myrtle Beach to get your adrenaline running! Last, but certainly not least, is parasailing. Express Watersports will help you meet all of your boat touring needs to be a tourist in your city.

Helicopter Rides

If the Skywheel isn’t high enough for you, then you can get an even better view of the Grand Strand with a helicopter ride! Helicopter Adventures is the largest helicopter tour company in Myrtle Beach with 12 helicopters and 5 operational landing pads. The best part is that the tours start at only $20! Travel as far as 40 miles in the air and take being a tourist to new heights.

Museums

Myrtle Beach is filled with museums to help you learn about the city you call home. Whether it’s one of the many art galleries and museums or the South Carolina Hall of Fame, you can see some of the most culturally significant spots in Myrtle Beach. If history is more your speed, there are plenty of monuments and historical sites to visit as well!
