There’s a reason Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular places in the South to visit. With beautiful scenery and plenty of fun places to go to, it’s no surprise that tourists and locals alike are always taking pictures around the Grand Strand. As the seasons change, it’s time for fall photoshoot to commence and we have the 5 best places to snap your pics.
The best places to take pictures in the fall are always ones that allow you to see the natural beauty of the new season. Which is just why Brookgreen Gardens makes our list. With a beautiful sculpture garden including picturesque fountains, flowers and trees, and a walkway full of live oak trees, Brookgreen Gardens is bound to give you some amazing fall shots!
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk
Right in downtown Myrtle Beach, the Boardwalk runs along the ocean from 14th Avenue South to 2nd Avenue South. Offering plenty of different scenes for a fall photoshoot, you’ll see restaurants, shops, museums, and even the Myrtle Beach Skywheel. Be sure to enjoy all the local food as you walk along the Atlantic Coast for your pictures!
Huntington Beach State Park offers more natural beauty for fall pictures. Located in the park is the historic Atalaya Castle. Atalaya, meaning “watchtower” in Spanish, was built by Archer Huntington between 1931 and 1933. Now the castle stands as a landmark with beautiful turquoise ironwork and stone walls and the perfect place to capture some great photographs!
Second Avenue Pier
The Second Avenue Pier jets out into the Atlantic, giving you the perfect place to take pictures in the crisp autumn air with the endless ocean in the background. For sunrise and sunset pictures, this pier is the best place to go in Myrtle Beach. Whether you want pictures underneath the pier with the dark wood or above it looking out into the horizon, this spot is bound to give you some Instagram-worthy shots.
Just down the road in Conway, about 15 minutes from Myrtle Beach, is the Riverwalk and Riverfront Park, situated next to the Waccamaw River. Walk along the winding river and take some Fall photos next to the natural beauty of the wildlife that sits on the riverbanks. The Main Street Bridge that crosses the river will be your favorite part of the Riverwalk thanks to its striking beauty made for pictures.
