This July 31st, we’ll be celebrating National Mutt Day, a holiday that embraces and celebrates mixed breed dogs. What better way to enjoy the day than by visiting an adoption shelter? We’ve rounded up all the Myrtle Beach shelters so that you can easily give a mutt a home. Take a peek at the places you could find your next furry friend.
Grand Strand Humane Society
With a plethora of pets listed on their website, you can browse the selection from the comforts of home. When you’re ready to meet face to face, you need only apply online for adoption. Located at 3241 Mr. Joe White Avenue, you can visit the society between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. every day of the week.
The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach
Browse potential pets online this National Mutt Day. After a quick application and screening, you could be a proud new pooch owner. The Humane Society is open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 409 Bay Street, North Myrtle Beach.
Coastal Animal Rescue
Coastal’s mission is to find “fur-ever” homes for local animals. If you’re interested in a mutt listed on their website, you can fax your application to the rescue or deliver it in person. You’ll find the animal rescue located at 1288 Limestone Street, Murrells Inlet.
