Even though it’s felt like summer arrived weeks ago, it’s not officially here until June 21! And, coming with summer is a lineup of fun events in the Myrtle Beach area.
Here are five events you won’t want to miss this summer:
Independence Day 5K
Break a sweat on the 4th of July before all of the patriotic parties begin. This 5K race is one of Myrtle Beach’s biggest attractions of the summer and this year marks ten years since it first started. Run through the Market Common region and see highlights of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Afterward, you can enjoy a post-race breakfast from Bojangles! You can still register here!
SummerFest! At Barefoot Landing
This summer every night is a party at Barefoot Landing. Starting June 1, you can enjoy nightly entertainment including live music, dancing, and steel drummers. The fun begins at 7 pm and is every night until August 31. Take the family out for a night of fun and make summer 2019 the best one yet!
Movies @ McLean
Make every Friday night a movie night at McLean Park! All movies are rated G or PG and will begin 15 minutes after sunset. Bring your lawn chairs or a big blanket and enjoy popcorn and drinks from the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club.
Palmetto Fest
Celebrate all things South Carolina at Palmetto Fest on Sunday, July 7th from 11am-8pm. The festival will have live music, 100 vendors, shopping and dancing.
Fireworks at Broadway at the Beach
It’s a firework extravaganza every Tuesday and Friday night at Barefoot Landing! The twice a week firework show lasts from June 18 – August 16 and starts at 10 pm.
