September 1: Departure: A Tribute to Journey at House of Blues
Departure has been successfully recreating the sound of iconic band, Journey, for 10 years now. This South-African rock band has been playing together for almost two decades. The grunge, pop-culture icons released their first album in 2000 and are still going strong. Best known for their song “Poison the Parish”, their song lyrics boast blunt and to-the-point opinions and beliefs. The band’s goal is and always has been, to “cut through the noise”. Their most recent single “Against the Wall”, debuted in an acoustic version in June.

October 12: Fish Out of Water at Island Bar & Grill
Fish Out of Water is a band of California natives that play everything from reggae and rock to funk and hip-hop. They have songs prepared for lots of different music tastes and styles. Their versatility has led to quick and widespread popularity. You can catch them playing covers of songs released decades ago alongside songs they have written themselves. This eccentric, folk-rock band is coming soon to the Island Bar & Grill on Pawleys Island.
